 One of my favorite things about moving to the Netherlands has been discovering just how different—and wonderful—everyday life can be. Case in point: this photoshoot. When I told friends and family back in the United States that I was meeting a man I'd never met before... in a graffiti tunnel... to take photos... by myself... ...they imagined the beginning of a true crime documentary. Instead? It turned into another highlight session since moving to Den Haag. The "graffiti tunnel" was full of life. There was a near constant stream of cyclists passing through—grandparents, families with little kids, business professionals commuting to work, and people out enjoying their day. It was colorful, vibrant, diverse, safe, welcoming, and about as far from the graffiti tunnels I knew in the States as you could imagine. Walter was a true delight. And together we created a gallery that perfectly captured the energy of his business.
